About ME....

My name is Janine Morton. I'm a designer and a huge believer in the power of knowledge and new ideas. I'm also an environmentalist (or tree-hugger if you prefer) and a nut for simplicity and efficiency. I hate waste. And I think waste of time, money, resources and intellect are the major problems holding America back from being the moral example and innovation powerhouse we've got the potential to be. Since I believe great design and good ideas combined have the potential to greatly affect perceptions and beliefs in and of our society, I plan to harness that natural power for good.
Truly great design to me is magnetic and contagious. Visually intriguing, well-designed media can get people excited, interested, aware or even educated on a subject in only a moment (can be as simple and easy as: A. Seeing an IMAGE that expands one's scope of life/the world/fellow humans... or B. Soaking up an eye-catching design that literally illustrates how one can Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Rethink, and Respect common resources, places and products). Changing perceptions breed new beliefs and with that comes new behavior... hence, CHANGE.

Everyone, LET'S Learn, THINK, Do, LOVE and Grow!
Let's Get EFFICIENT and GREEN too!

(More on that coming soon--those pages are under construction)

Some other fun things I love: I love making stuff and meeting new people. I love looking at any kind of art. I love to travel and I love listening to music. I consider myself creative, stylish, resourceful, bold and forward-thinking.
I also love popsicles, building with legoes, gardening, cool fall days, driving fast, the windows down when-I'm-driving-fast-on-the-cool-days, art magazines, making lists, drawing floorplans, road trips, funny movies, other people's photos, classic furniture designs, funky vintage anythings, kitsch, fresh flowers, sweet furry animals, good parties, bright colors and good design in any sense. I hugely heart Mother Earth/ the environment as well, and I do all I can to leave the smallest carbon footprint possible. Future generations deserve to enjoy this place as we do so I try to spread the love for Mother Earth in my life and in my work. My goal is to spread the idea that all knowledge, love for our fellow humans and respect for the Earth (and her future inhabitant generations of humans and animals) is the right thing to do and is worth doing. I want to put out the message primarily through creative mass media, but I would also love to start a youth center, a magazine, a business for small business owners (haha), a community garden or any other effective means. ;o)

Come on, people!
Don't be square,
become AWARE!

Learn.
Think.
Love.
Do.
Grow.
Spread.
